Deeply embedded in North Carolina’s thriving electronic music scene, Treee City is a Durham-based DJ and producer whose dynamic presence has left an indelible mark on dance floors and festivals alike. As a founding member of Durham’s iconic Party Illegal soundsystem, he’s helped cultivate a vibrant underground culture. He has releases on Raund Haus and Maison Fauna have showcased his talent for crafting irresistible grooves.
Treee City’s performances are a testament to his versatility and energy, with appearances at premier festivals like Moogfest, Hopscotch, and Slingshot. He’s shared stages with the likes of Sylvan Esso, Steve Aoki, Washed Out, and Daedelus, solidifying his reputation as a powerhouse performer. His debut album, “Good Job“, released last November on Raund Haus Records, was hailed as “something special…filled with dance-floor heaters” (Indy Week).
Beyond the studio and stage, Treee City continues to build community through music. He organizes “Blends With Friends“, a biweekly DJ open decks and music meetup at The Pinhook, and “Moodboard“, a monthly club night at Rubies in collaboration with Mamis and the Papis.
